Caleb Kautz, Owner & CEO

Hi, I’m Caleb—the owner and founder of Hillside Landscape and Design. With a degree in Plant Science and Landscape Technology from Cuyahoga Community College and years of hands-on experience, I’ve dedicated my career to designing and building outdoor spaces that are not only beautiful but truly functional.

My passion for landscaping began in high school at the Gates Mills Environmental Education Center, where I was introduced to the world of horticulture and outdoor design. That early experience sparked a lifelong love for nature and laid the foundation for the business I run today.

To me, landscaping is about more than just curb appeal—it’s about creating an extension of your home that you can enjoy every day. Whether I’m designing a new garden bed, installing outdoor lighting, building custom patios and walkways, or solving tricky drainage problems, I approach every project with care, precision, and an eye for detail.

At Hillside Landscape and Design, we believe it’s the small things—a well-placed stone, the right plant combination, or the perfect lighting setup—that transform a project from good to exceptional.
