An Outdoor Retreat Rooted in Natural Stone
This custom patio in Olmsted Falls, Ohio features natural barnstone carefully placed to create a stunning border that enhances both beauty and durability. Our approach
This one-of-a-kind patio project in Olmsted Falls, Ohio pushed our design approach in a new and exciting direction. By incorporating natural barnstone as a defining border, we were able to frame the patio while drawing the eye toward the surrounding wooded landscape—creating a seamless transition between the built environment and nature.
We collaborated closely with the homeowner to select Unilock’s Bristol Valley paver, a premium choice known for its rich color variation and natural texture. The paver complements the barnstone beautifully and ties in effortlessly with the home’s existing stone veneer, resulting in a cohesive and timeless outdoor living space.
Designed specifically for Northeast Ohio’s climate, this patio was built with longevity and low maintenance in mind. Extending the pavers all the way to the home eliminates unnecessary transition areas, reduces upkeep, and delivers a clean, durable finish that will perform for years to come.
This project also gave us the opportunity to incorporate a custom bubbling rock water feature directly into the patio space. Integrated into the hardscape, this feature serves as a visual focal point while providing the soothing sound of flowing water. The result is a peaceful atmosphere that enhances relaxation and elevates the entire outdoor living space.
